New developments are coming fast in the Golden Strip. Here are the details on some arts facilities upgrades in Simpsonville, two housing projects planned there, plus a subdivision in Mauldin. Fountain Inn is looking to better manage the city's rapid growth through its zoning laws and comprehensive plan. The Greenville News reported in February that the City Council planned to take action on this at its March meeting and city officials took that step at their meeting last week. The City Council unanimously passed a resolution directing city staff and the Planning Commission to begin the review of the city's comprehensive plan ahead of schedule and recommend any necessary changes to the council.
